There is such hunger on the streets of Durban, and the desperation is growing. The supply lines that should exist, that apparently exist, do not, and there is a very fine line between the vulnerable and starvation. Unfortunately, it has been left to us, the ordinary folk, the Ubuntu Army, and the other groups on the ground, to hold this line. It shouldn’t be like this, but it is.
The government has no answers. In fact they even try to claim our small victories. There is only one way through this right now and that is to build Food Chains. Micro Food Chains, run by ordinary people, catering for between 10 and 20 families, offering food security for 4 weeks. There are very few wrong answers at this stage. Work with your intuition. Follow your gut. Create Food Chains. Have a look at https://www.ubuntuarmy.org/foodchain
