Bhambayi Food and Bedding Drop
Another successful delivery of food, books and bedding to the crèche today. It was a beautiful day and the whole of Bhambayi seemed to be chilled and relaxed, and when I arrived all the young kids were laughing and playing. It was beautiful to see joy between people again.

Illembe Frontline Workers
A massive thank you to all the ladies who have contributed this week. I have just handed your 81 masks over to the chief pediatrician of the Illembe municipality and they are going directly into action to help the district health workers fight an outbreak in the northern suburbs where a worker tested positive this morning. Well done. Your work is saving lives.

URGENT MASK APPEAL
To anyone who has fabric at the moment, including old linen, we urgently need 250 squares of fabric cut into 50cm squares. 500 Hair elastics, rubber bands and elastic rings are also required. This is a first aid measure for vulnerable workers who have potentially been exposed to an infected coworker. Ubuntu Army have been approved directly by doctors from the Illembe health district to assist. We need these by tomorrow morning. Please post here if you’re able to assist. The fabric and elastics bands/ hair ties can be delivered to the Ubuntu Army HQ at https://www.ubuntuarmy.org/contact. Please hoot at the gate once you’ve deposited into the red bin on the driveway.
