Ubuntu Army is a call to you, to recognize the profound power you hold, as a single human being, to create meaningful change. With a single act of kindness, you can rise above your fear and connect with those from whom you are separated, by religion, race, economics, culture or politics. Your compassion will dissolve division, restore unity, and reclaim the heart of your community. And your country. By choosing kindness, you become part of something greater. You become part of Ubuntu Army.

Welcome

ubuntu army

Ubuntu Army is not a charity. We are not an NGO. We are not a political party. â€‹

Ubuntu Army is a decision

We are a movement of ordinary people from across the world, the everyday army, who have made the decision to turn away from politics, corporate agenda, and traditional charity as the primary vehicles for change. Instead, we’ve chosen something more radical, and deeply human, connection. We reject the divisions that institutions teach and reinforce. Instead, we embrace that which unites us. We choose to reach out directly to those we’ve been taught to see as “other”: the poor, the religiously different, the politically opposed, the culturally unfamiliar. We choose to cross the line between “us” and “them”, the line of politics, race, culture, religion, and economic class. The line of fear. On the other side of that line, we meet people who want the same things we do.

We all want food and water. We all want a home. We all want safety. We all want education. We all want employment and financial security. We all want freedom to express ourselves. We all want peace and happiness. We all want good healthy. We all want prosperity. We all want love

But. Rarely do we sit together. Rarely do we share a meal, or ask about each other’s families, or have honest conversations. Rarely do we connect. We don't know each other. That distance, that silence, is taught. Politicians, corporations, the media, and even well-meaning NGOs derive real benefit from keeping us apart. They train us, subtly, constantly, to divide, to believe that we are different, and that aligning with their tribe, their vision, their brand, their opinion will save us. This is a lie. We are all the same. We are all exactly the same, but different.

The greatest act of revolution that you, as an individual, can take today, is to make the decision to connect. Reach across the divide, the difference, the judgment, the fear. Connect. This is change. When we connect, truly, humanly, we dismantle division. We destroy inequality. We end violence and bigotry. We challenge politics at its root. We decimate poverty. â€‹We have the power to create this change. This is a personal revolution. A compassionate one. An Ubuntu revolution. I am because we are. We can create this change now. Right now. Ubuntu Army is a rallying cry for change

You have a choice. You can vote, donate, or buy a product hoping that this time, perhaps this time, the brand, the politician, the initiative will deliver safety, purpose, recognition, justice, representation. Will deliver change. Or. You can let go of the illusion and claim your agency. Your power. Your independence. You can choose to stop outsourcing change and start embodying it. You can connect. Directly. You can cut out the middleman. â€‹â€‹

Reach across the divides that have been manufactured to keep us apart. Say hello. Push through the discomfort, the pounding heart, the fear. Sit with someone different. Share stories. Discover the dreams, hopes, and needs you have in common. Embrace your shared humanity. Because this connection dismantles the very systems that thrive on division. It brings politicians back to serving communities instead of manipulating them. It pushes NGOs to meet real needs rather than fund narratives. It forces corporations to focus on quality, over aspiration and branding.

This is the transformation our world is crying out for. This is the revolution. And, the best part. Connection is free. It’s a decision we can make right now. All it takes is putting down our phones, switching off the news, stepping away from the curated chaos of social media, leaving the couch, and showing up, in our homes, our neighborhoods, our communities, our countries. This is the change we need. This is the revolution we’ve been waiting for. This is the compassion revolution. Connect

I am Ubuntu Army

You are Ubuntu Army

We are all Ubuntu Army

At Ubuntu Army we do three things really well

At Ubuntu Army, we are passionate about creating connections between ordinary, previously separated people. We build connection by building Ubuntu Links. Building an Ubuntu Link is the single most important act of kindness we will take in our lives. It is a simple, uncomplicated act. It is an act of compassion, an act of connection. Connections create community, and in community we can directly address the issues of poverty, hate and division. It is an act that will save us, our community, our country, our humanity, and ultimately, this creaking planet of ours. This is what change looks like.

The members of Ubuntu Army, have a great deal of experience in disaster management. We know that a single person, with limited personal resource, operating independently of institution, can make a real impact in the lives of those suffering. In the face of crisis, we believe in direct, on-the-ground connection and collaboration with the newly vulnerable. The help offered by everyday people, not only saves the lives of those affected by disaster, but creates connection within the community. This strengthens and unites the wider community, as it rebuilds. Connection builds community.

So, how do you join Ubuntu Army?

Simple.

You build an Ubuntu Link. This is the foundation of your membership. If we are to solve poverty, destroy division, and reclaim our humanity, then every human must build an Ubuntu Link. This is essential. There is no room for complaint, from any of us, regarding the poverty we live in, or the poverty that surrounds us, if this first step is not taken. By every single one of us. Building an Ubuntu Link is a personal act of revolution within a system that thrives on division and inequality. Building an Ubuntu Link, builds community, destroys poverty, and has the power to save our neighbourhoods, our communities, our countries, and our humanity. It's that simple.

How else can you help?

Register with Ubuntu Army to become a member of a global movement in connection and response. Our hope, is that your registration will allow us to link you to a member of your local community, who may be vulnerable and experiencing poverty. This connection is the basis of community, and the basis of your community's fight against poverty and division. Your registration is especially important during times of crisis and disaster, when the vulnerable are truly exposed, and a response needs to be mobilised rapidly.

Join the Poverty Lab, and add your voice, your expertise, your passion to the projects that are in development. Or introduce your own project, perspective or field of interest. Through collaboration with other invested members, solutions to poverty can be researched and tested in an open source environment. As viable solutions are discovered, negotiated and substantiated, Ubuntu Army will do its best to provide resource to these projects and to support their implementation into affected communities around the world.

Our success in reaching those who are suffering depends entirely on our ability to mobilise a community response around them. To create community, we must connect, we must share. To create a community of Ubuntu, an Ubuntu Army, we would like you to share your story of creating an Ubuntu Link, the good and the bad, and we would like you to encourage and motivate others to build an Ubuntu Link of their own. To encourage others to register with Ubuntu Army for future service. It is through weight of numbers that poverty and division will be destroyed, and our countries reclaimed.

What about donation?

donation

Ubuntu Army does not prioritise donation. For the most part, we would like you to keep your money to build, and sustain, you own Ubuntu Link, as the connection created in this transaction is everything..However, we do require financial contribution to respond to disaster as it unfolds, to advocate for establishing Ubuntu Link as a global ethic, to support our research and development into poverty, to distribute and plant Ubuntu Farms, and to pay our administrative costs.

In an ideal world, Ubuntu Army would not exist. Unfortunately, we are not living in an ideal world. Poverty and division are real. Ubuntu Army is here to end poverty and division. We are not looking to join the non-profit sector for  revenue or career. We are here to end poverty, to eradicate division, and to dissolve once the job is done. We are transparent and lean. Our financial records are available to all members and contributors, at any point, and we do our best to convert 98% of your contribution directly into ending poverty, and supporting those in crisis.
